Experience
I have many years in tutoring and teaching mathematics. I currently teach high school math at Rangeview High School in Aurora Public Schools. I have experience teaching in traditional curriculums (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, etc.) and also in integrated curriculums (Core Plus, Core, Integrated Math, etc.), as well as College Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus, and Calculus classes. I don't believe that certain people are bad at math. What I do believe is that anyone can do mathematics, no matter their prior experience, with the right setting and a little bit of patience, which often times does not come from large classroom settings. For me, the best way to teach is through one-on-one sessions or small-group sessions that allow me to get to know the student and his or her learning style and way of thinking. That way I can tailor what we do and how we do it so that it fits the student's way of thinking. I have seen the most success through one-on-one settings and I feel I excel at listening and understanding how each student thinks. To me it's all about the "A-ha" moment when something just clicks for the student!

Hobbies
I personally love running and working out, reading, and spending time with my husband and our cat and dog. I enjoy tutoring because I can get to know students on a personal level and help them achieve success with something that they have struggled with. For the summer, my hours are very flexible, contact me if you are taking a summer class and need help!
